Whether it’s a phase, a vibe, a lifestyle, or something you associate with too many show tunes, picking up the lens of the Theater Kid can
give new perspective that gets us unstuck
get us out of our heads and able to consider the whole scene
help us find the fun — or turn down the drama
… among so many other things.
There will be some pre-session prompts and I’ll ask you to come with a problem, hurdle, big project, or idea in mind that you want to organize, get new perspective on, or unravel. It can be personal or professional or somewhere in between. Big or small. You will not be required to share the details, but I will ask you to center it for some reflection.
90 minutes. Highly interactive.
Wednesday, September 9 from 6 - 8pm CST via Zoom. Link will be sent upon registration.
What do the theater kids in our life have to show us about how to be, see, and get things done in the world? The things that theater kids navigate inherently have gifts for navigating relationships, work, and the world at large.

This workshop is for anyone who gets things done with other humans.
There is an idea attributed to Oliver Wendell Holmes that in any exchange between two people, there are actually six people present: the real, ideal, and perceived versions of each participant. More participants = more ways that words and actions can be (mis)understood.
In this 2 hour session we will
practice breaking down the real, the ideal, and the perceived
notice the stuff that gets stuck in between
try a tool to help apply the above to almost any situation
